On 30th March 2020,Ambassador Li Mingganggave an exclusive interview to the state-run Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), which is covered by KUNA under the title of 'Chinese Envoy: Kuwait able to defeat COVID-19 in the near future'.
In the interview, Ambassador Li stated that China and Kuwaithave always helped and supported each othersince the COVID-19 outbreak. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the Kuwaiti government had provided valuable support to China's fight against the virus, andthe Chinese sidedeeply appreciated that Kuwait had provided China with $3 million worth of medical supplies. After the outbreak occurred in Kuwait, China had actively shared experience in epidemic response with Kuwait, provided diagnosis and treatment protocols, assisted Kuwait in procurement of medical supplies from China, and held a video conference with experts from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, Chinese companieswere exerting efforts in their capabilities to back Kuwait's against the COVID-19. Li also expressed China's readiness to aid Kuwait if the latter plans to build field hospitals.
