Li indicated that since the outbreak, the Chinese government, in the spirit of humanitarianism and the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind, has been actively sharing experience with other virus-hit countries in epidemic response, as well as doing its best to provide support and aid in medical supplies. China greatly values the positive role of ICRC in facilitating international response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is willing to deepen cooperation with ICRC in effort to contribute to global humanitarian cause and public health.

For his part, Odeh affirmed ICRC's great appreciation to the Chinese government for its tremendous efforts in combating COVID-19, especially in containing the spread of the epidemic, pointing out that China's generous gesture of sharing COVID-19 experience with the international community without reservation has significantly contributed to the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. At this special moment amid the ravaging of COVID-19, ICRC is keen on carrying out humanitarian actions around the world, especially helping war-torn countries such as Syria, Iraq and Yemen combat the outbreak. The ICRC regional delegation for the GCC countries would like to maintain communication with the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait on the COVID-19 developments.
