Ambassador Li Minggang Meets with Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations of Kuwait Naser

On 20th January 2020, Ambassador Li Minggang met with Naser Abdullah Al-Hayen. Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations of Kuwait, and exchanged views on China-Kuwait relations and topics of common interests.



Ambassador Li said that due to the historically friendly nature, China and Kuwait are mutually understanding and supportive in the issues of core interests and major concerns. Li commended Kuwait active role as the non-permanent memberof UN Security Council in preserving regional and international peace and security for the past two years, and affirmed that the Chinese side stands ready to work and coordinately closely with the Kuwait side on critical international and regional issues at international arena to safeguard world peace and security.


Saying that the Kuwait attaches great importance to China’s important role in international and regional affairs as the permanent member of UN Security Council, Naser thanked China for supporting Kuwait during its two-year term of non-permanent membership of UN Security Council, and stressed that Kuwait will continue to have close communication and coordination with China in this regard.
