On March 9, 2024, the Chinese Culture and Cuisine Festival held by the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait was launched in the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmed Cultural Centre in Kuwait. Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jianwei, as well as over 1,000 guests, including officials from the Kuwaiti government, diplomatic envoys in Kuwait, and friends from various circles, attended this cultural event.

In his speech Ambassador Zhang noted that guided by the Global Civilization Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping, China is ready to work with Kuwait and many other countries to constantly deepen exchanges and cooperation in the cultural and people-to-people fields in a way to make positive contributions to the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind. He welcomed Kuwaiti friends to visit China in person so that they could get a firsthand experience of China’s brilliant culture and development in the new era.

Xin Fuhai wind band, an art troupe from Beijing, presented to the audience beautiful Chinese and Kuwaiti music such as In the Field of Hope. Guests present at the event were given opportunities to try delicious Chinese snacks and know more about health products, tourist resources and cultural heritage of China.
