On November 13, 2023, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei met with Kuwaiti Health Minister Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi. They exchanged their opinions on efforts to enhance exchanges and cooperation in the field of healthcare between the two sides.

Ambassador Zhang Jianwei pointed out that healthcare cooperation is an integral part of China-Kuwait relations. Not long ago, President Xi Jinping had a successful meeting with Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal when he was in China to attend the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games, marking a new stage of our relationship. China will use it as a good opportunity to further increase our experience sharing on healthcare and build various forms of cooperation platforms, which will bring tangible benefits to the two peoples.

For his part, Ahmad said with a long-lasting friendship, Kuwait and China have conducted broad and deep cooperation in healthcare over the past decades since the establishment of diplomatic ties, adding that Kuwait will learn from China’s advanced technology and development experience and deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the field of healthcare, in an effort to make even greater progress in bilateral relationship.
