Ambassador Li Minggang Bid Farewell to Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah

On March 17, 2022, Chinese Ambassador Li Minggang paid a farewell call on Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of Kuwait.



At the outset, Ambassador Li extended his gratitude to Minister Ahmad, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies of Kuwait for their valuable support to the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait and to the ambassador himself, saying that over the past three years, the development of bilateral relations has maintained a sound momentum, with fruitful results achieved in various fields, especially the Minister’s successful visit to China in January this year when Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and he had in-depth talks and reached broad consensus on deepening strategic partnership between the two sides. Ambassador Li said, he is confident that with joint efforts by both sides, friendly exchanges and results-oriented cooperation between China and Kuwait will be advanced to deliver greater benefits to the two nations and the two peoples.


Ahmad spoke highly of the great development of Kuwait-China relations over the years, and thanked Ambassador Li for his contribution to closer ties between the two countries during his tenure. Kuwait highly values the development of its relations with China, and appreciates China’s constructive role in promoting regional and international peace and safety, Ahmad said, adding that Kuwait will work with China to deepen mutual trust and expand cooperation, in a bid to bring China-Kuwait strategic partnership forward.
